Christmas Update

     Hey everyone, Happy Holidays! I had a wonderful Christmas and am enjoying ever minute of my break from classes.To bad they start right back up on January 10th, that's definitely not long enough for me. I finally have my grades back for this semester and I finished off with a 3.75 GPA...all A's and one b lol. I have 2 semesters left and I will finally be ready to teach. I can definitely see the finish line now. Over break I had planned on doing nothing but work for my senior seminar next semester, but it hasn't worked out so far. I have until the tenth and I think I am going to kick my but into gear. I want to finish at least three works before break is over and work on a 10 page paper that needs to be done.ok, enough of that...

    Right now I am working on a colored pencil drawing of some oriental lilies, a colored pencil of a scarecrow, and a watercolor of some pumpkins in the fall. I am quite the busy person and should probably get back to them if I want to finish them in time.

     I will definitely update again before break is over!

Plan for the day...

So...yesterday I finished my horse drawing...and I wasn't supposed to have it done until Monday. That gives me time to work on a few other things I have to do. Today I am going to work on my Stream Landscape and start a new drawing. It will probably be the oil pastel Hosta leaves. It will be something quick and fast I can get finished in about a week.....well i will update later if i have anything else to add...

This is a pencil drawing of my neighbor's horse Dodge. I say I am almost done because I have no doubt I will try to rework a few things in it(probably the grass) lol I'm never happy with a drawing when I first finish it...I will probably give it another day or two and then spray it with fixative....

Busy Weekend....

It's really weird how I don't have classes on Friday but it is busier than when I do have classes. Yesterday I took Keith to work, went to the allergy doctor for my allergy shot, then when to the studio to work on a few Ceramics projects...I got to the studio at 1pm and didn't leave until 4pm. Then on the way home I had to pick Keith back up from work, travel to his mothers house to pick up some money his brother owed him, visit my aunts to pick up some mail, go to the grocery store to pick up stuff for dinner then finally we went home. By the time all that was done it was already 7:30pm....It was a long freaking day and I didn't even have classes. Ok enough ranting about yesterday lol.....


Woke up this morning and took a shower...After I get off here I'm going to start working on the horse drawing I am supposed to have done by Monday. I also need to work a little on the watercolor landscape that I started last week....plus a little homework...It's going to be a busy weekend....

Uggggg....

ok...so I show up to photography lab today and....no one is here...where the heck is everyone? I haven't got an email saying that class is canceled...I didn't get one saying that we were meeting somewhere else...so what the heck is going on? Just love my life...and my professor....:(

So Glad It's Thursday!

         I love not having classes on Friday! It seems to make my whole week goes by so much faster. I made myself a soy mocha this morning(because I'm lactose intolerant) and I am ready to start the day. I have photography this morning at 9:30am then I have a pretty long break until 1:45pm for my Ceramics class. I don't have my religion and gender class  or my graphic design class today.In between my classes I have to try to get into the computer lab to work on two projects for graphic design. If I can't I will have to try to get there after Ceramics and that will suck. Hopefully the day goes by pretty quickly, that way I can get home and work on some artwork or and relax...yea right lol My Professor Yan Sun wants me to have my horse drawing done by Monday so I will be working my butt off on that all weekend along with trying to get somewhere with this stream landscape. At least I love what I am doing. Well...gotta go to class...I will post some artwork tonight when I get home..no telling what time that will be.....

Just Got My Copy of Sims 3 Late Night!!

I know I know I am a complete nerd. I just love Sims games and I have been waiting on this expansion to come out since they announced it! Now off to install it and give it a try! So excited!! hopefully this doesn't take to much time out of my schedule for getting my artwork done for the Winter Show or my Senior Show lol

Senior Show

I guess I have my Senior Show next semester. It's time to step up to the plate and produce some artwork lol. I am supposed to have 20 to 30 of my best works from my junior and senior year...and I have no where near that much! The good news is they can be from photography, painting, drawing, graphic design, ceramics, and sculpture. Hopefully by the end of this semester my numbers have went up pretty far. As for the 2d artwork I have made up a plan along with a scheduled calender of when to start works and when to finish them...the problem is that I have a problem sticking to the schedule with my artwork..it always takes way longer than I give myself to finish the work..hopefully I get better at it though or I wont have nearly enough work.

School Problems

This year is pretty important to me. I am finally a senior!! but the bad part is I'm not going to graduate this year. I have this semester which ends in December..then a full semester that begins in the middle of January. After that everything is a little unclear. If I get graphic design 2 and Adolescent Art Education into May Term I will finally reach student teaching in August. If not I may be stuck for a whole year extra instead of just one semester of student teaching....Right now I am waiting on an email from the Adolescent Art Education professor to see if she will let me do an independent study for her class in May. I am really praying that she agrees so that it makes it easier on me.I really do not want to have an extra semester for just one class...... I have worked so hard to get where I am and I don't want it to take even longer to get through school...I will update if I hear anything...
